Every school deserves reliable emergency tools, not just the ones with big budgets. AlertIO turns the devices already on your campus into a unified, real-time safety network.
For more than ten years I worked as an IT Director in education, and I kept running into the same problem: emergency notification systems were hard to integrate and often required expensive hardware and installation that many schools simply couldn't budget for. The systems that did exist were costly, difficult to manage, and rarely covered every device.
In 2024, I set out to build something better, a system that's reliable, affordable, and easy to use, while still delivering full-screen alerts to every device on campus. Integration with existing access control and lockdown systems was a priority from day one.
I reached that goal in 2025 with AlertIO. Today, schools across the Denver, Colorado area and the United Kingdom use the platform, and the feedback has been excellent. AlertIO checks all the state requirement boxes, gives faculty and students clear instructions during an emergency, and is easy for IT teams to manage on their own.
When an emergency strikes, overhead intercoms get missed and emails go unread. AlertIO puts every screen to work in the seconds that count.
AlertIO is a cloud-based alert platform built specifically for K-12 school districts. We connect to every device type your campus already uses, including Windows, Linux, and macOS computers, Android and iOS devices, Chromebooks, digital signage, and interactive displays, and even integrate with existing safety systems over CAP 1.2. Broadcast full-screen emergency alerts to all of them in seconds through a single dashboard.
Whether you're a small elementary school with a few hundred devices or a large district managing thousands, AlertIO scales to fit. If your goal is to reach every student and staff member the instant an emergency happens, we built this for you.
The standards that guide every line of code and every customer conversation.
We build things carefully and correctly from the start, because school safety is not something you get a second chance at.
“If you don't have time to do it right the first time, how will you ever have time to do it over?” — John WoodenWe listen to educators, respect their time, and build the product we'd want if our own kids were in the building.
“Treat others the way you want to be treated.” — The Golden RuleReliable software comes from dedicated effort. We put in the hours so your alerts work every single time.
“There is no substitute for hard work.” — Thomas EdisonWhether your district follows the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), ALICE, or another framework, AlertIO broadcasts drill-specific alerts to every device on campus. Run lockdown drills, shelter-in-place exercises, and evacuation simulations with the same system you'd use in a real emergency.
Every alert is recorded with timestamps and trigger sources, giving administrators a complete audit trail for post-drill reviews and regulatory reporting.
Our roadmap includes deeper integrations with existing school safety systems, expanded device support, and new tools to help districts run drills, analyze response times, and continuously improve their emergency preparedness.
Our goal is simple: make AlertIO the standard for campus-wide emergency communication.
